Meet Cam
Hello everyone! My name is Cam McDonnell, and I joined the UMPSA union because I wanted greater insight into the behind-the-scenes work that benefits me as an UMPSA member. I also wanted to have a vote in determining whether negotiated contracts are adopted or rejected.
In addition, I’ve been supporting UMPSA as a Campus/Grievance Rep for UMaine (related to contractual concerns and supervisory maltreatment). I also served on the MEA’s Government Relations Committee, where I helped develop a questionnaire for primary endorsement candidates. This year, I made sure that higher education questions were included, as we were underrepresented in past election cycles. Lastly, this year I served again as a UMPSA delegate at the MEA Representative Assembly and worked with others to direct the MEA to support UMPSA and other higher education locals.
